You’ve prayed about it.
More than once.
You’ve asked God for peace.
You’ve quoted the scriptures.
You’ve tried to trust Him.
Yet somehow, the thoughts keep returning.
The worry.
The uncertainty.
The endless “what if” scenarios.
It’s frustrating.
Especially when you love God.
Especially when you know He is faithful.
Especially when you know, deep down, that He is in control.
Yet your mind still refuses to let go.
If you’ve ever felt that tension, you’re not alone.
Many Christians silently wrestle with anxiety, overthinking, and mental exhaustion.
Not because they don’t trust God.
But because they are carrying burdens they were never designed to carry.
Anxiety Often Feels Like Responsibility
Most of us don’t wake up and decide to worry.
It begins because we care.
We care about our families.
We care about our future.
We care about paying the bills.
We care about our health.
We care about the people we love.
The problem is that caring can slowly turn into carrying.
And before we realise it, we’ve taken responsibility for things that belong to God.
We replay conversations.
We predict outcomes.
We prepare for problems that haven’t happened yet.
We try to solve tomorrow before tomorrow arrives.
The result?
Exhaustion.
Reflection
What am I carrying today that God never asked me to carry?
The Trap Of “What If?”
Anxiety loves unanswered questions.
What if things don’t work out?
What if I make the wrong decision?
What if something goes wrong?
What if I fail?
What if God doesn’t come through?
One question becomes another.
And another.
Until our minds are completely consumed by possibilities that may never happen.
Jesus understood this tendency.
That’s why He said:
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” — Matthew 6:34 (NLT)
Most anxiety lives in tomorrow.
God’s grace lives in today.
Reflection
How much energy am I spending on a future that doesn’t exist yet?
God Never Asked You To Carry This Alone
One of the most comforting verses in Scripture says:
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)
Notice what Peter doesn’t say.
He doesn’t say:
Figure it out.
Be stronger.
Try harder.
Hide your fears.
Manage your worries.
He says:
Give them to God.
All of them.
The big worries.
The private worries.
The embarrassing worries.
The worries you’ve told nobody else about.
God cares about every single one.
Feeling overwhelmed right now?
Take a deep breath.
Slow down for a moment.
You don’t have to carry this alone.
I’ve created a free 5-Minute Peace Reset designed to help you reconnect with God’s presence and release what you’ve been carrying.

Why We Keep Taking The Burden Back
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to give something to God in prayer…
Only to pick it right back up again?
One moment we’re surrendering.
The next moment we’re worrying.
Many people think this means they’re failing.
It doesn’t.
It means they’re human.
Surrender is rarely a once-off event.
It’s a relationship.
Sometimes we give something to God ten times.
Sometimes a hundred times.
Not because He didn’t hear us.
But because our hearts are learning to trust Him.
Every time you choose trust over worry, you are strengthening that relationship.
Peace Grows Where Trust Grows
Isaiah gives us a beautiful promise:
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You.” — Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
Perfect peace is not the result of perfect circumstances.
It is the result of fixing our attention on a perfect God.
The more we focus on our fears, the larger they become.
The more we focus on God’s character, His faithfulness, His goodness, and His presence, the more peace begins to grow.
Trust and peace travel together.
When one grows, the other follows.
A Simple Prayer For Releasing Anxiety
Father,
You know what I am carrying.
You know the thoughts that keep returning.
You know the fears I struggle to release.
Today I choose to place them into Your hands.
Not because I understand everything.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because You are trustworthy.
Help me release what I cannot control.
Help me trust You with tomorrow.
And fill my heart with Your peace today.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Before You Go
Perhaps the thing weighing on your heart today isn’t something you can fix.
Perhaps it isn’t something you can control.
Perhaps it is simply something you need to place into God’s hands again.
And that’s okay.
You don’t need to carry tomorrow.
God is already there.
